Myouga (冥加 lit., "divine protection") is the term used for the process of strengthening a human person's body with the use of noro, a practice most notably performed by the Origami Family Elite Guard and the Imperial Guard. A Toji who has undergone the process of Myouga is called a "Myouga Toji" (冥加刀使).[1]

Yukina Takatsu of Renpu Girls' School and Yuzuki Souraku of Ayanokouji Martial Arts School are two known figures in the practice of Myouga. However, the concept originated from Ichikishimahime, an Aradama goddess who wishes to witness the advancement of humanity by merging humans with Aradama. Ichikishimahime passed down her knowledge during the time she and the other goddesses that comprised Tagitsuhime were possessing Yukari Origami, and this knowledge was later perfected through the technology of Renpu Girls' School.

Due to the nature of noro, particularly its tendency to be difficult to be extracted from the human body, the practice of Myouga is generally prohibited by the Special Sword Administration Bureau. Because of this, Myouga was instead performed in hiding or, in the case of the Imperial Guard, in situations where the Special Sword Administration Bureau cannot prevent such practice from happening.
