Taeko Tanaka (田中 妙子,Tanaka Taeko) is a swordsmithing specialized course instructor in Minoseki Academy and is, of course, a swordsmith. During her teenage years, as a Toji, she was a girl who held an okatana, but she felt a strong urge to learn about restoring okatana since the start, so she took up the craft of swordsmithing as an adult. She has a candid personality, and can also give accurate advice in consultations, making her popular among students. She has a good sense of style, and has many male student fans in the Blacksmithing Department seemingly due to her elder sister-like character.
